Pressure Ulcer Prevention
The articulation of the mattress platform (back + legs) causes harmful muscular pressure in the abdominal and lumbar areas. By lifting the articulations, they simultaneously perform a synchronous gliding. This double self-regression of the back and leg articulations causes decompression and relief of the sacroiliac area, usually a critical point in the development of pressure ulcers.

Hygiene Components
The headboard and foot panels are produced in natural wood, material with great capacity for hygiene and disinfection, durability and high resistance to shock. The bed board is made up of 11 modular components in PPC plastic, removable for cleaning using a quick-lock system.
Total Disinfection
The design of the bed was conceived in order to facilitate the cleaning processes. Reducing dirt accumulation points as much as possible. The components are minimalist and without sharp corners, greatly reducing the accumulation of waste.
Fall Prevention
The side guard rails meet the EN 60601-2-52 standard through components with adequate spaces to avoid entrapment of body parts for patients and caregivers. High vertical coverage and the possibility of creating a wide opening at the foot of the bed reduces the risk of injuries caused by accidental falls and prevents patients from climbing the guard rails in disorientation episodes. In addition to the guard rails, the 24 cm bed height and the Rest function provide a safe stay for patients with and without psychological problems.
Medical Positions
Matrix G24 is equipped with advanced bed positioning functions, performing complex and precise movements with the push of a button. It also incorporates features that facilitate and speed up care delivery with alarms and stops at key angles, such as back at 30º or bed horizontality.
Vascular Position
The height of the foot section is adjustable point by point by a rack for manual use. When combined with Auto Contour and Trendelenburg, it can improve circulation of blood to the heart, a necessary procedure in reducing the risk of hypovolemic shock and after some vascular surgeries.
Special Axle
Matrix U24. The system includes four Ø100 mm rotating wheels to improve mobility, two of them with central brakes, and two free Ø125 mm rotating wheels to enable the bed to be adjusted in height.
Luna G

MEDICAL POSITIONS
Shock Position
Independent movement of the back and leg sections is done synchronously by electric motor. The joint articulation of the leg and foot sections allows the bed to be positioned in the Shock position.
Fowler Position
The portable bed control allows simultaneous movement of the back and leg section by a single button. This Auto Contour function allows you to position the patient directly in Fowler Position without sliding when articulating the back section separately.

Preventive Locking

Shutter Guard Rails
Side guard rails comply with EN 60601-2-52. They prevent and avoid the risk of injuries caused by accidental falls through high side coverage and components with adequate spaces to avoid entrapment of body parts for patients and caregivers. Option of wooden guard rails with total filling or metal guards with opening at the feet, both foldable under the bed.

Articulated bed with 4 sections, made up of flexible slats in steamed beech wood with PVC terminals.

Metallic Structure

EFFECTIVE PROCEDURES
Endotracheal Intubation
The head end and foot end panels are vertically removable. However, the head end support structure is fixed to the base, allowing unobstructed intubation. By raising the mattress platform to the Examination position with a single button, removal of the panel becomes unnecessary.
X-Ray Cassette Holder
Matrix E50 includes the option of incorporating an X-ray cassette holder in the back section. The loading of the cassette is carried out on the side of the bed headboard. The cassette holder is telescopic and fully extractable out of the bed back area. It has adjustment rulers for various cassette sizes, brands and models.

The foot panel has a telescopic opening retractable support to support the bed changing service and to place the supervisor control in a place less prone to misuse.

Hygiene Components
The headboard and foot panels and the split guard rails are produced in synthetic Medical HDPE, a material with great capacity for hygiene and disinfection, durability and high resistance to shock. The panels are vertically removable and have lockers for transportation. The bed board consists of 11 modular components made of PPC plastic or 4 single phenolic (high pressure thermolaminate) components. All the components can be extracted for cleaning using a quick-fit system.

CONTINUOUS PROTECTION
Night Light
The night light facilitates the orientation of the patient in low light environments, changing colour when the bed reaches the Rest position, indicating that the patient is properly positioned for a period of sleep. The Night Light is activated from the external control of the side guard rails and requires the bed to be connected to the building’s electricity supply.
Fall Prevention
Side guard rails comply with EN 60601-2-52. They prevent and avoid the risk of injuries caused by accidental falls through high side coverage and components with adequate gaps to avoid entrapment of body parts of patient carers.
URGENT ACTION
Emergency Procedures
Emergency functions such as CPR and Shock are not affected by Selective Lock functions, allowing rapid intervention in any situation. Present on the controls of the guard rails, supervisor or standing, it is possible to assist patients in cardiac arrest or hypovolaemic shock, with the press of a single key.
Manual CPR
The bed has bilateral emergency folding handles in the back section for cardiopulmonary resuscitation manoeuvres. They are located at the apexes of the back section for easy access and use.
INCREASED MONITORING
Selective Lock
The electrical functions of the bed can be selectively deactivated for reasons of functional convenience or safeguarding the patient’s health. The exception being emergency functions, which are not affected by Selective Lock. Locks are available on the supervisor control and/or on the external controls of the side guard rails. They are indicated by an illuminated padlock, locking all motors that the selected function activates.

System that improves the manoeuvrability of the bed in tight spaces by rotating 360º on a vertical axis. Brake Alarm

Cable Clip
Power cables damaged by transport is one of the most frequent malfunctions in electric hospital beds.Matrix E50 is equipped with a helicoidal orange coloured cable and a convenient portable cable holder to fit on top of the head panel. In addition, the cable is fixed to the bed frame preventing damage to the electrical assembly.
Batteries
2.4Ah Lithium battery module to keep the bed operational when disconnected from the power supply. When connected to the power supply, it electronically manages the charging, making it unnecessary to disconnect the power socket once the batteries are charged. Certified with electrical surge protection and antistatic wheel option. This function considerably reduces the maintenance costs of the bed.
Zero Gap
Although resistant when locked, the side guard rails carry handles that are easy and quick for the health care provider to operate, but provide reassurance against improper or accidental use.When folded down, they fold out from under the bed. This allows a stretcher to be placed against the bed and the patient to be safely transferred, facilitates patient entry and exit and does not disturb medical interventions.

Frame Adjustment

Early mobility
Simple and lightweight, the patient can easily adjust the cabinet against the bed by itself. The smooth opening of the door and drawer to both sides helps access stored items, holder is very easy to access.
Infection Control

IMO mattresses include a cover in bi-elastic polyurethane fabric. Very thin and soft, it adapts completely to the joints of the bed.
